How to be a member

To become a member of the Korean Catholic Church Credit Union, you can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Office: As you prefer to apply in person, visit one of the Korean Catholic Church Credit Union.

  2. Bring Required Identification:

    Make sure to bring the required identification documents. You can choose from the following options:

    • Show two pieces of ID from List A:

      • Ontario driver’s license
      • Current Canadian passport
      • Ontario Photo Card
      • Canadian Certificate of Indian Status
      • Canadian Citizenship Card (issued prior to 2012)
      • Permanent Canadian Resident Card
    • If you don’t have two pieces of ID from List A, you can:

      • Show one piece of ID from List A and one piece of ID from List B, below:
        • Old Age Security Card with Social Insurance Number (SIN) on card
        • Canadian credit card that includes name and signature
        • Canadian National Institute for the Blind Client card that includes photo and signature
        • Current foreign passport
        • Canadian Birth Certificate

    Note: The Ontario Health Card cannot be accepted as ID.

  3. Member Shares: To become a member, you need to purchase shares costing $100.00 each. These shares are refundable when you close your account.

  4. Enjoy Membership Benefits: As a member, you will be an owner of the credit union. You will have the opportunity to vote on decisions at the Annual General Meeting or any Special Meeting of Shareholders, and you may receive dividends on your shares when the credit union has a profitable year.
